The Panel Interview of the "University Fellows Association - Scholarship for Outstanding PolyU Student Athletes 2021/2022" was held on 25 May 2022 at Alumni Atrium of PolyU. Dr Alex Wong Siu-wah, Ir Johnny Fan Siu-kay and Ir Kenneth Pang Tsan-wing, Chairperson and Members of the Management Committee of the Association, were invited to be the panel members.
Twenty student athletes, nominated by the Student Affairs Office of PolyU, were arranged to meet with the panel members in groups. During the interviews, the students talked about their sports training and achievements as well as their study and personal goals. The University Fellows, also outstanding PolyU alumni, shared their valuable advice and experience with the students and encouraged them to continually advance their skills and knowledge for future success. After the interviews, the panel decided to grant the scholarship to all the nominated student athletes.
The Association has set up scholarships for outstanding PolyU student athletes, since 2016/2017, to support the development of students with sports talent and to recognize students with distinguished sports achievements. Over 111 students have received the scholarships.
