The Panel Interview of the "University Fellows Association - Scholarship for Outstanding PolyU Student Athletes 2020/2021" was held on 24 May 2021 at Alumni Atrium of PolyU. Dr Alex Wong Siu-wah, Ir Johnny Fan Siu-kay and Ir Yau Kwok-fai, Chairperson and Members of the Management Committee of the Association, were invited to be the panel members.
Twenty student athletes, nominated by the Student Affairs Office of PolyU, were arranged to meet with the panel members in groups. They talked about their aspirations, their performance in various sports fields, their training as well as their study in the interviews. The students were pleased to receive encouragement and valuable advices from the three University Fellows and also distinguished alumni of PolyU. After the interviews, the panel decided to grant the scholarship to all the nominated student athletes.
The Association has set up scholarships for outstanding PolyU student athletes, since 2016/2017, to support the development of students with sports talent and to recognize students with distinguished sports achievements. Over 91 students have received the scholarships.
